Pretest of The Public Survey Tool for PET Concluded

A team from the Secretariat of the Performance Enhancement Committee completed a week-long one-on-one interaction with advocates, prosecutors, and litigants who are part of the 360-degree approach for the Performance Enhancement Tool (PET). 

As part of the comprehensive 360-degree assessment, the Committee has been collecting feedback and insights from advocates, prosecutors, and the general public to pretest the data collection tools of the PET.

The survey tool has been developed in relation to the Judiciary Core Values of Independence, Impartiality, Transparency, Professionalism, Integrity, Accountability, and Equality.

The Registrar Planning, Research and Development, HW Mary Kaitesi Kisakye, led the Committee in the exercise. It was carried out in the Land, Family and Civil Divisions, Mukono High Court, as well as Makindye, Mukono and Buganda Road Chief Magistrates Courts.

About the PET

The Judiciary has developed a Performance Enhancement Tool aimed at standardizing of performance through weighting of cases, measuring performance of its staff. The Tool will be rolled out next quarter.
